We drove back to Yuma again this morning, had to mail a couple of parcels, and the last of the Christmas cards, we took the laundry with us and got that done, we ran into a fellow Canadian at the Laundromat, actually a fellow islander. He is a full timer, who lives at Port Renfrew which is on the south west end of Vancouver Island. He lives in a fishing camp for six months of the year, and travels south the other six months. He and skip have a mutual acquaintance....it is a small world.
We didn't do anything else today, other than Skip put up the solar Christmas lights, he had intended to put them on the awning, but he has been putting that up every night in case the wind blows hard. so he put them along the top of the dog pen.
I didn't take any pictures today, (laundry just isn't that interesting) .
This is along highway 78 on the way to Blythe

Port Renfrew rings a bell for me. I remember being there one time in the early 70's. It was back in the bad old drinking days so my memory from that era is a little foggy. Seem to recall a restaurant or bar somewhere in a wooden building that was maybe near the water....sort of:((
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting Jean. Wonder how much he pays to live at the Fishing Camp? does he live in his RV or a fishing hut ?
ReplyDeleteKelly
Kelly, he pays $1800.00 for 6 months, he is lives in his airstream trailer, on the waterfront and has his own dock.
ReplyDeleteAl, there is or was a restaurant right along the shore, it's been a long time since we were down that way.
