We rolled out of our campsite at Clark Dry Lake Bed, about 9: 30 this morning, we weren't in a hurry, because we knew we would have a short driving day. Skip and I both had mixed feelings about leaving Borrego, we like it there because there is so much to do, and a convenient little town.
We stopped at the Arca station , to dump our tanks, take on fresh water, get propane and gas. We then drove to Mecca, and the short drive to Joshua Tree State Park. The scenery was pretty nice, we drove by the entrance to Painted Canyon, we would like to go there but the entrance looked a little soft for the motor home.
So we are at Joshua Tree National Monument BLM campground just outside the south entrance, there were just two RVs parked here when we arrived at 12.30, a couple more have come in since. The sites are well defined, the ones we have seen are quite large. There are no posted signs regarding camping or the 14 day limit.
Tomorrow we are planning to drive through the park and head towards the town of Baker, we heard there was BLM land there also.
again tonight I can't load pictures, I have no idea what I am doing wrong, or what is different about Windows 7. But I will try again tomorrow.

Will be interested to know where that next BLM land is & how you like it. Checked the temps in Joshua & it looks OK. Too bad about your pics. Do you have Picasa installed in it. If not just install Picasa 3.8 & you should be good to go. I have never liked Windows picture program stuff.
